What You Need To Bring

Boat Fishing Trips

snacks, drinks, and dress for the weather

ALL KAYAKING/ FISHING TRIPS require a VA State Fishing License  IF YOU ARE FISHING

  • Water Shoes (Strapped Teva style sandals, or old tennis shoes)
  • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, neck gator and bug repellant
  • Water and snacks (a small cooler is ok)
  • Appropriate clothing (depending on current weather conditions)
  • Rain jacket
  • Rain/paddling pants  and neoprene socks if you want to keep legs dry and feet warm
  •  Extra change of clothes
  • Waders with a belt (certain sections of river allow for wade fishing)
  • Thin pair of gloves (nitrile touch gardening gloves work perfect) for blisters or more comfort
  • If you do not have your own  Fishing Rod that you would prefer to use we have all the gear necessary to outfit you for the trip

Overnight and Multi-day Trips

Overnight Kayaking The river banks offer great spots for tent or hammock camping. We will discuss these options along with food choices and other needs when we set up a trip. Bring a daypack filled with; Sleeping Bag, Spare Set of Clothes, Blanket, Ensolite Pad, Headlamp/Flashlight, We will provide a dry bag if you need one. DRESS IN LAYERS. Our  Fishing Kayaks have Plenty of room for storage. On these overnight trips feel free to bring what you think you may need to make yourself comfortable. Overpacking is safe IF you have room for it but too much and weight distribution might have an effect on your paddling.        (If you book an overnight trip , I will email you a complete list for what you'll need for that particular trip.)
